Balance

Humans are designed
to keep themselves upright, against the downward pull of gravity, by balancing on their two feet.

Balance is not a fixed state but an act of constant adjustment.

There are a number of reasons why we get out of balance and alignment, why we might feel disconnected in body and mind.

Being out of balance means fixing, using too much effort. Thus we tend to employ undue muscular tension in all our daily activities, which can result in a variety of aches and pains.
